If you had one piece of bride2advice for today’s younger photographers, what would it be?

Just have fun. I feel like the best part of photographing people is having fun with them. Your work should capture the best of your clients and their personalities. The most important aspect of your job is finding the real beauty in people and revealing it.

In your experience, how important are album sales for professional photographers? Do you think albums will, or should be, replaced by CDs?
I absolutely don’t get the whole CD thing. I love albums. I even still give my clients a proof album. I want them to see a physical photograph, not look at images on a computer. Clients have paid all this money to have all these gorgeous pictures and then they don’t display them in the most flattering way? It’s crazy! Everyone should have an album.

brideDo you feel a responsibility to preserve the images you’ve shot over the years? If so, how are you going about it?
I do believe it’s my job to preserve my images. As a result, I have every negative I’ve ever shot, and I have all the digital files. They’re on DVDs and also on an external hard drive.
